The Shores

She wears green to the Southern sea,
When people say it’s forbidden.
"You might be lost and never found"

The wave teasing her feet and the wind playing with her hair.
Asking her to surrender to an unknown place.

"Who knows, I might meet the queen.
And maybe I will become her princess or anything I wanted"

"You know,
It’s dangerous for a wondrous mind to spend too much time on the shores
Roaming around by the shores
On the edge between the sea and the land
On the edge of reality and imaginary.

because it's easy to get lost.
And it's hard to find a way back,
To the place where things really exist.

It's such a wonderful place, I know.
where everything happened according to your will.
And I know it's such an abundance
To have a wondrous mind.

But reality is never that easy.
And it is just how it is"

But she kept walking. As if she was answering a call.

"So would you sacrifice everything?
To live in a place that doesn’t have time?"

Again.
She kept walking toward the sea.

"You know your mind is always playing tricks on you.
It kept telling you: who cares if it’s not real.
As long as you are happy.
Isn’t it enough?"

She said it without even turning around.

As her words became vaguer and her shadow losing its colours, her presence slowly disappeared too. Leaving her worldly body as empty shells. Her breath is stable. She walks normally. But her eyes are always looking into something else.

She stops living in the reality.

Now she’s gone to the place where time doesn’t exist, and everything went according to her will. A place where I will be there whenever she needed or whoever else she wanted to be with.

And so, I kept sitting on the shores. Waiting for her to find her way back to the reality.

But she never did.
